A commission can begin with a drawing, an image, a colour combination, a memory or simply an idea.

We create individual tufted artworks and rugs for homes, interiors, special occasions and personal gifts. Each piece is developed individually in our Berlin studio, with size, colour, yarn and finishing adapted to the project.

From painting and drawing to textile.

We also work with other artists, particularly painters and artists working with drawing.

We have translated a wide range of original works into tufted pieces, including paintings, watercolours and delicate coloured-pencil drawings. Fine lines, subtle colour changes and irregular painterly forms can be adapted through scale, yarn and technique.

Rather than simply reproducing an image, we aim to preserve its atmosphere and character while allowing it to develop a new material presence in textile.

More detail than you might expect.

Tufting is often associated with bold graphic shapes, but it can also be used for much finer visual information.

Depending on the artwork and final scale, we can work with delicate lines, layered colours, subtle transitions and painterly edges. For detailed commissions, we adjust the scale, yarn and technique to retain as much of the original expression as possible.
