Mini Tufting Workshop – 90 Minutes

A little taste of tufting! Perfect for anyone who wants to try something new without committing to a longer workshop.

In this 90-minute session at Tufting Berlin, you'll get a hands-on introduction to tufting and create your own mini rug (20 × 20 cm). With a simple design and a relaxed pace, this workshop is ideal for beginners who want to experience the creative process without spending too much time or effort.

Our team will guide you through the process, providing all the materials and tools you need.

What's included

• Introduction to using an electric tufting gun
• Tufting your own simple design (up to 20 × 20 cm)
• Access to approximately 40 colors of 100% wool yarn and all necessary tools
• Professional backing and finishing by our team

Your finished mini rug will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks.

Before the workshop

Please send us your design in advance for approval. Once approved, we'll transfer it onto the tufting cloth for you.

Since this is a shorter workshop, simple designs are essential to ensure you can comfortably finish tufting within 90 minutes.

Design Guidelines

• Keep it simple! Choose bold shapes, clean lines, and larger color areas.
• Avoid small details, thin lines, intricate curves, or overly complicated patterns.
• Your design must fit within a 20 × 20 cm area.
• Please use your own original design and respect copyright.
• The rug will be tufted at one consistent pile height.

Please note

• No previous tufting experience is needed.
• We speak both German and English.
• The minimum age for independent participation is 13. Children aged 8–12 may participate if accompanied by an adult who actively assists them with tufting throughout the workshop.
• Each booking is for one person creating one mini rug.
• Backing and finishing are completed by our team after the workshop, so same-day pickup is not possible.
