One-day Tufting Workshop 'Small Rug'

At Tufting Berlin, you’ll learn to create your own rug or mirror in just one day! Our skilled team will guide you through the entire process, providing all the materials, colors, and tools you need to craft a unique carpet.

This three-hour workshop covers the following areas:

• How to use an electric tufting gun
• Tufting your own design (up to 40 x 30 cm, size may vary based on complexity and shape)
• Access to approximately 40 colors of wool yarn, along with all necessary tools

We offer backing and finishing services, with pickup available within 3 – 4 weeks.

Before the tufting workshop, you’ll need to submit your custom design for approval. Please send it to us in advance so we can review its suitability. Once approved, we’ll transfer it onto the tufting cloth for you.

Design tips

• Keep it simple! Avoid excessive details, small shapes, or intricate curves. Larger areas are much easier to tuft, especially if this is your first time.
• The final rug size is approximately 40 × 30 cm. For round rugs, the diameter is 37 cm. Depending on the complexity or shape of your design, the final size may be slightly smaller.
• If your design has an irregular shape, it must fit within a 40 × 30 cm box.
• When choosing a design, please ensure that it does not infringe any copyrights. We recommend creating and using your own original design.
• Everything will be cut in one length.

Please note:

• We speak both German and English.
• A group discount is available for bookings of 6 people: €130 per person instead of €139.
• The minimum age for participation is 13. If you are under 13, a guardian must accompany you. Please inform us when making a reservation.
• If you have extra time and space on your canvas, you can create a mini rug for an additional charge.
• Each spot is designated for one person to create a single rug.
• If something comes up at short notice, you may reschedule your workshop at any time within 6 weeks.
