One day large rug workshop

At Tufting Berlin, you’ll learn to create your own rug in just one day! Our skilled team will guide you through the entire process, providing all the materials, colors, and tools you need to craft a unique carpet.

The workshop runs from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and covers:

• How to use an electric tufting gun

• Tufting your own design (up to 50 x 50 cm, size may vary based on complexity and shape)

• Access to approximately 40 colors of wool and acrylic yarn, along with all necessary tools

We offer backing and finishing services, with pickup available within 3–4 weeks.

Before the tufting workshop, you’ll need to submit your custom design for approval. Please send it to us in advance so we can review its suitability. Once approved, we’ll transfer it onto the tufting cloth for you.

Design tips

• Keep it simple! Avoid excessive details, small shapes, or intricate curves. Larger areas are much easier to tuft, especially if this is your first time.

• The final rug size is approximately 50 × 50 cm, with a diameter of 54 cm for round rugs. Depending on the complexity and shape of your design, the final size may be slightly smaller.

• If your design has an irregular shape, it must fit within a 50 × 50 cm box.

Please note:

• We speak both German and English.

• The minimum age for participation is 16. If you are under 16, a guardian must accompany you. Please inform us when making a reservation. 

• If you have extra time and space on your canvas, you can create a mini rug for an additional charge.

• Each spot is designated for one person to create a single rug.

What if I want to cancel the appointment?

• If you cancel within 7 days, you will receive a full refund, minus a €3 administration fee per person. 

If something comes up at short notice, you may reschedule your workshop at any time within 4 weeks.
